Zac Efron [1] and Alexandra Daddario have been generating romance rumors ever since they starred together in Baywatch [2] last year. The pair played love interests in the film and have been hanging out a lot recently [3]. So, what is the truth? Are they or aren't they a couple? Well, according to People, Zac and Alexandra have been "seeing each other [4] on and off" since 2017, but "they are not officially dating."
Alexandra also shot down dating rumors [5] when she attended the Billboard Music Awards back in May 2017. "We work together closely; he's my love interest in the film," she told E!'s Jason Kennedy. "I understand why people would go crazy over something like that, but Zac and I are very good friends."
Even though the 32-year-old actress may have previously said that they aren't a couple, a whole lot has happened since then. Not only did Alexandra ring in her birthday [6] last month with Zac by her side, but Zac recently called Alexandra [7] "one of the most real, down to Earth, stunning, intelligent, creative, loving, and most rare Pokémon ever created" on Instagram. He also recently left a comment on one of Alexandra's Instagram photos [8] calling her "hot." Hmm . . . interesting.
