Cardi B Is Definitely Me Trying — and Failing — to Face My Fear of Heights

I will never understand how a pregnant Cardi B [1] found time to embark on such a wild adventure to face her fear of heights, but I certainly applaud her bravery. In the latest episode of the rapper's Facebook Watch series, Cardi Tries [2], social media stars Rickey Thompson [3] and Denzel Dion challenge the Grammy-winning superstar with some risqué escapades to help her conquer her fear, recruiting the help of a virtual-reality headset and a very, very tall crane.

"People think that facing your fears means ghosts and haunted houses," Cardi said, opening up about her fears in the episode. "I'm not afraid of that. I'm afraid of heights and oceans." And I don't blame her at all, because it takes a lot to say yes to something as unhinged as this. At some point during the episode, Cardi wound up 80 feet in the air with a screaming Denzel, and his reaction was most definitely warranted for this kind of situation. "Get me the f*ck down, get me down," he shouted at the top of his lungs (listen, I feel you)!

Though the two were *this* close to getting up to 100 feet in the air, it seemed like Rickey thought they had endured enough torture for one day. The way Cardi recapped the entire experience is, hands down, the highlight of the video, because she really flipped the script on everyone. "I don't really want to face no more fears, today was enough, I'm overwhelmed," she said. "Other than that, I hated today. Today was a bad experience," she concluded as she walked away in a pout. I'd probably feel the same way if I were in her shoes. I'm just glad she didn't scare herself into giving birth [5] right then and here. Hopefully, you don't get triggered watching the full Cardi Tries episode above.
