Three months after reports announced Chanel Iman's split from her husband [2], Sterling Shepard, the model has revealed that she's in a new relationship. On April 17, Iman confirmed that she's dating New England Patriots player Davon Godchaux with an Instagram photo of the two cuddled up at Coachella [3], captioning it with a simple red heart emoji. Godchaux posted a few PDA-filled snaps of the couple on his Instagram as well, in a series captioned [4], "Mines👅❤️."
Iman's new romance comes after Us Weekly confirmed [5] that she and Shepard decided to separate after four years of marriage. According to the outlet, the former couple had a quiet split in June 2021, citing irreconcilable differences.
Iman and Shepard met at a party in 2016 and got married two years later [6] in a beautiful ceremony at a hotel in Beverly Hills. They share two daughters, 3-year-old Cali [7] and 2-year-old Cassie [8]. Prior to news of their divorce, E! News reported [9] that a source told them the pair's relationship had been "rocky for a while," but they've since been trying to "work out their plan on how they will co-parent their daughters peacefully."
