Christina Ricci Has the Cutest Kids — Meet Cleopatra and Freddie

Christina Ricci [1] is a proud mom of two, and her youngest celebrated her birthday this past December. "This little dream baby is 1 year old today!!!!" the "Wednesday" star [2] captioned a photo of daughter Cleopatra Ricci Hampton bundled up in a striped sweater and crochet beanie. "She's a gift from the universe. Broke our hearts open wide again." Christina's husband, celebrity hairdresser Mark Hampton, shared his excitement in his own post on Instagram [3]. "One lap round the sun! What a year," he captioned a photo of himself and Cleo bundled up outside.

In addition to her daughter, Cleo, Christina has a son, Freddie Heerdegen, whom she shares with ex-husband James Heerdegen. In a September 2022 interview with People [4], the actor said that Freddie is "really helpful" with Cleo and has been a fantastic big brother [5] to his baby sister. "He can help me make a bottle. He can help me in the bathtub with her. It is really great," she said, adding that she sometimes pays Freddie to watch Cleo "for 20 minutes at a time in her little playpen." "There hasn't been a lot of sibling jealousy [6] or anything. That has been a huge relief."

While Christina keeps her children out of the spotlight, parts of her Instagram page — and Mark's — are flooded with photos of Cleo as well as the occasional photo of her son. She's even shared videos of baby Cleo gurgling, sleeping, and having a picnic with her dad.

Cleopatra Ricci Hampton

Christina Ricci [7] and Mark Hampton first announced the birth of their daughter, Cleopatra Ricci Hampton, on Instagram [8] on Dec. 28, 2021. "Baby Cleo is here," Ricci captioned a video of the newborn resting in a hospital bassinet. "We are so in love with her. Also she has the most incredible dad imaginable @markhamptonhair."

Mark shared his excitement in a post on his own Instagram [9] account the same day. "My heart has exploded. @riccigrams and baby Cleo are doing fantastic, we're all resting after such an eventful morning," he captioned a photo of Cleo swaddled in a blanket. "Welcome to the world baby Cleopatra Ricci Hampton."

Christina and Mark first revealed that they were expecting their first child together in August 2021. "Life keeps getting better," Christina captioned a photo of her ultrasound alongside a series of party emoji and heart emoji on Instagram [10].

Freddie Heerdegen

Christina and James Heerdegen revealed in May 2014 that they were expecting their first child together, just a few months after their wedding in October 2013, according to US Weekly [11]. In August 2014, the actor gave birth to Freddie Heerdegen.

On July 2, 2020, Christina filed for divorce from James after seven years of marriage, citing "severe physical and emotional abuse" on his part in her divorce filings, according to People [12]. In January 2021, Christina was granted a domestic violence restraining order [13] against James. A few months later, in April 2021, she was awarded full custody of their son, while James maintained visitation rights.
