After moving from Miami to Los Angeles back in 2019, Dwyane Wade is back to show support for his community when they need it most. On July 8, the former Miami Heat player paid his respects at the memorial site for the Champlain Towers South condo collapse in Southside, FL. "Today was about Uplifting, Praising and Showing up!" the 39-year-old captioned a series of black and white photos. "Our first responders are the real MVPs." The 12-story condo complex partially collapsed on June 24, leaving 78 residents dead and another 62 missing [1].

During his visit, he left a message on the memorial sign for the collapse's first identified victim, Stacie Fang. "Sending prayer, love, strength and healing," the message read, alongside the retired NBA star's signature. Dwyane isn't the only Miami sports star to pay his respects. On June 24, the Miami Dolphins used their food relief program [2] to provide meals to first responders and families affected while the Miami Marlins sent a van full [3] of meals and water for rescue workers. Current Heat players brought supplies to first responders [4] on June 24 and visited the memorial on June 30 [5].
