Who Are Ella Balinska's Parents?

Ella was born in London on Oct. 4, 1996. Her parents are Jamaican-English chef and former model Lorraine Pascale and Polish jazz musician and entrepreneur Kazimierz Balinski-Jundzill. They split in 2000, but according to Ella, "they're still best friends."

Ella opened up about her mixed-race upbringing in a 2018 British Vogue interview, saying, "It was confusing, but I've since realized there's no real label that goes with it. It's more just about who you are and being true to yourself. Your people will find you."

Ella got her start in the 2015 comedy thriller Junction 9, followed by a handful of short films. In 2017, she appeared on the small screen in the UK series Casualty and Midsomer Murders, and has played the lead role in Sky TV's teen drama The Athena since 2018. Charlie's Angels marks Ella's major movie debut, and her upcoming horror film Run Sweetheart Run is in post-production.

Ella's experience as a track and field star — she even threw javelin for Team London — lent itself nicely to her Charlie's Angels role, which obviously includes a number of choreographed fight scenes (and a lot of running).
