Eric André Plays Coy About Reported Emily Ratajkowski Breakup: "A Gentleman Never Tells"

Apparently, Emily Ratajkowski and Eric André's romance didn't last too long after the latter posted their nude couple photos on Instagram back in February. Though it seemed the comedian, 40, shared the revealing snaps to confirm his relationship with Ratajkowski, a source later told E! News that the pair were already broken up then. Per a March 15 report, the insider told the outlet that the model "broke up with Eric days before he posted that photo," adding, "She had nothing to do with the posting."

On Feb. 14, André seemingly put the pair's romance speculation to rest by sharing two NSFW images of them (covered up with emoji, of course) online, captioning the Instagram post, "💘 💘💘💘💘Happy Valentine's Day 💘💘💘💘💘." He also posted one of the images on his Instagram Story and wrote, "💘 Happy Black History Month 💘." Though Ratajkowski wasn't tagged in the comedian's post, if you zoom in close, she can be clearly seen snapping the photo from the mirror in the background.

Though Ratajkowski nor André ever explicitly stated they broke up, the latter seemingly alluded to a split during an episode of "The Howard Stern Show," which dropped on May 17. When Stern said the pair's relationship "ended kind of suddenly and no one knows why," André didn't object. He also laughed off the host's "fantasy" of how the breakup may have gone down. "You're just too f*cking crazy and she probably dug you and everything and you're funny, but you probably brought out the two big f*cking tanks of whippet and she's like, 'What the f*ck?'" Stern joked to André.

The comedian laughed and nodded along to Stern's theory but confirmed that wasn't the case at all. When the host bluntly asked if André "f*ck[ed] up" the couple's relationship, the latter replied, "A gentleman never tells, Howard. I must respect the privacy and boundaries of . . ." André also played coy about who he may be dating right now.

André and Ratajkowski's reported split followed relationship rumors that first sparked on Jan. 9, when TMZ published photos of the two out together in New York City. On Jan. 25, Page Six also published pictures of the pair out together again. This time, they showed some PDA on a beach in the Cayman Islands. Though reps for the comedian and the model did not respond to POPSUGAR's initial requests for comment, a source reportedly told Page Six, "It seemed like a fun friends-with-benefits situation."

The two continued to fuel speculation when they were seen out in Manhattan once again, walking around the West Village on Feb. 10. Three days later, they sat courtside at a New York Knicks game. Ratajkowski posted a silly video of André and Diplo posing together after the game on her Instagram Story, tagging them and captioning the post, "Happy Valentine's Day."

Prior to André, Ratajkowski was linked to Pete Davidson, though the two never confirmed dating rumors after a month of public outings together in November 2022. She was also recently rumored to be involved with Harry Styles after photos of the two making out went viral. She addressed them in an interview with Spanish Vogue, saying, "I didn't expect this to happen," also adding that she felt bad for Styles's ex Olivia Wilde.

Ratajkowski filed for divorce from her ex-husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, in July 2022 after four years of marriage; the two share a son named Sylvester. Meanwhile, André has dated Rosario Dawson, whom he split from in 2017 after over a year of dating, per People.
