Emma Watson Celebrates J.K. Rowling With a Special Birthday Message: "All the Love to You"

It's been eight years since the final Harry Potter film hit theaters, and the friendships that formed are still going strong. Franchise creator J.K. Rowling celebrated her 54th birthday on July 31 (yes, the same day as her Harry Potter character), which prompted a series of sweet celebratory messages on social media, including one from Gryffindor gal Emma Watson.

Emma paid tribute to J.K. with a throwback photo from a past Halloween party. Dressed as Wonder Woman and a morphed monster, Emma and J.K. are shown posing together with Emma's former costar Evanna Lynch. "Sexy and scary! 👻 You smashed this," Emma wrote in the photo's caption, referencing the author. "All the love to you Jo. Happy Birthday!!!! Extra points to @msevylynch for being the most perfect cat. 🐯"

J.K. and Emma worked closely through the filming of all eight Harry Potter movies, as Emma took on the role of Hermione Granger. Emma began playing the studious heroine in 2001 when she was 11, alongside Daniel Radcliffe's Harry Potter and Rupert Grint's Ron Weasley. After nearly a decade apart, it's about time for a full cast reunion, don't you think?
