After playing a mother for years on "Jane the Virgin," Gina Rodriguez is now officially a mom in real life, too. In March, a rep for Rodriguez confirmed to POPSUGAR that she and husband Joe LoCicero had welcomed their first child [1] together. People [2] reported that Rodriguez had given birth to a baby boy.

Rodriguez and LoCicero have kept details about their bundle of joy private, but on June 18, the "Not Dead Yet" actor celebrated Father's Day [3] by sharing photos of Charlie for the first time. Her carousel includes a snap of little Charlie getting snuggled by his dad, two family photos, a pic of her husband making their son giggle, and a video with even more baby giggles.

"I knew it when I met you that I found a man like no other," Rodriguez captioned her Father's Day [4] post. "When I walked down the aisle and you cried tears of joy, I knew I found someone extra special. I knew a great man would make a great dad. I don't know much but I know Charlie and I are two of the luckiest people in the world to have you. To the love of my life, my best friend, the man who makes me laugh every single day and made me a mama, HAPPY FATHERS DAY!"

Rodriguez and LoCicero welcomed Charlie seven years after they first began dating in 2016 [5]. Two years later, they got engaged, with Rodriguez confirming the exciting news to Us Weekly [6]. "I have a very, very special man in my life. I am engaged," she told the publication.

Rodriguez then documented her pregnancy journey on Instagram by sharing photos of her baby bump. In December 2022, she teased her baby was almost due by writing, "Just a few more weeks little one," alongside a photo of her husband kissing her belly [10]. In January 2023, she revealed LoCicero had put together a stroller for her [11] in preparation for their baby's arrival.
