Gisele Bündchen [1] was a vision in white on the 2023 Met Gala red carpet. The model wore a vintage Chanel gown to the May 1 event, which this year is a homage to late designer Karl Lagerfeld.

The occasion marked Bündchen's first Met Gala appearance since her divorce from Tom Brady [2]. She and Brady first attended the event together in 2008 and made many memorable appearances [3] in the years after. This latest appearance isn't Bündchen's first time attending the event solo, though; she made her debut in 2003 [4], and last appeared by herself in 2006.

Bündchen and Brady announced their split in October 2022. "The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always. I kindly ask that our privacy be respected during this sensitive time," Bündchen wrote in an Instagram announcement at the time. Since then, she's been traveling back to her native Brazil [5], and showing off adventures here and there on Instagram. Bündchen's first public appearance after her divorce [6] was at Vivara's 60th-anniversary dinner in December 2022.

Bündchen and Brady tied the knot in 2009 and share two kids [7], Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10. Brady also has a 15-year-old son, Jack [8], from a previous relationship with ex Bridget Moynahan.
