Well, looks like another invite got lost in the mail! Jessica Chastain and Jeremy Strong had a late-night dance party in a video shared to Instagram on Sept. 23. In the clip, which offered a glimpse into their longtime friendship, the two actors wore sunglasses and danced around their hotel room as Madonna [1]'s "Hung Up" played in the background. Strong also seemed to be responsible for lighting, stepping on the hotel lamp to the beat of the music before disappearing behind a curtain. "This is what happens when you let Jeremy Strong and I stay up past our bedtimes #4AM," Chastain wrote.
Unsurprisingly, this isn't the first time Chastain and Strong have partied together. In fact, their impromptu hotel music video is actually just a small part of a friendship that spans more than 20 years. In that time, the actors have worked together on three films, including "Zero Dark Thirty," "Molly's Game," and "Armageddon Time [2]."
Chastain also came to Strong's defense in 2021 after a controversial New Yorker [3] interview detailing his method acting. "I've known Jeremy Strong for 20 yrs & worked with him on 2 films. He's a lovely person. Very inspiring & passionate about his work. The profile that came out on him was incredibly one sided," she wrote [4] on X.
Chastain and Strong showed off their moves earlier in the night at an afterparty for Gucci's spring fashion show at Milan Fashion Week [5]. Once again dancing to Madonna, they jumped around to "Like a Prayer" with celebrities like Julia Garner and Paul Mescal [6], as shown in a video [7]. Below, see how they kept the party going well past their bedtimes, as only true friends can.
