It's hard enough to create one stunning ensemble [2] for the Met Gala. It's even trickier for the couples in attendance, who find themselves needing to style two outfits that catch the eye both separately and as a pair. For the 2022 Met Gala [3], Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas [4] definitely understood the assignment, showing up in perfectly coordinated, totally striking black-and-white outfits.

Turner stunned in a floor-length black gown with long sleeves, embellished with a pattern of sparkling details along the collar and shoulders and down the bodice. The most eye-catching section of embellishment was reserved for a diamond-shaped patch right over her stomach, showing off her beautiful baby bump. Jonas, meanwhile, coordinated in a stylish black-and-white ensemble, featuring a white tuxedo jacket with a black collar and buttons, as well as floor-length tails made from white, lacy panels.

The couple, who've been married since 2019, revealed in March that they're expecting their second child [6], and Turner's outfit definitely was designed to draw the eye to her bump! They're already parents to a 1-year-old daughter [7], Willa [8]. Famously private, they haven't spoken much about the pregnancy or their family life in general. In a series of Instagram Stories in 2021, Turner criticized the paparazzi [9] for taking and selling photos of Willa without her permission. "She is my daughter," Turner wrote on her Stories. "She did not ask for this life, to be photographed. It's f*cking creepy that grown old men [are] taking pictures of a baby without their permission."

At the Met Gala, both Turner and Jonas kept it relatively simple when it came to accessories. Turner carried a black, studded clutch, while Jonas accessorized with a sparkling, thin necklace. With long, loose, deep-red hair and pale makeup with a vivid red lip, Turner gave off just a hint of gothic vibes for her twist on the night's "Gilded Glamour" theme [10] (that reminded many on social media of Morticia Addams [11]).
