Kanye West Tweets About His Meeting With Donald Trump in New York City

Kanye West was released from the hospital in late November after suffering from a nervous breakdown, but instead of keeping a low profile at home with his family in LA, the rapper is making headlines in New York City. Kanye was spotted arriving at Trump Tower in Manhattan on Tuesday morning, where he quickly met up with President-elect Donald Trump. They two reportedly chatted for 15 minutes before returning to the lobby. When asked about what they discussed, Trump just said, "We've been friends for a long time," adding that they talked about "life." While Kanye remained silent with his arms crossed, saying that he "just wanted to take a picture," he did tweet about their meeting a few hours later.

I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues.

These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago.

I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.

While it's not clear if the meeting was scheduled in advance, it is known that Kanye is a big supporter of Trump. Before he was hospitalized, the "Fade" rapper went on a pro-Trump rant during his concert in Sacramento, CA, in November. After admitting that he didn't vote in this year's election, he did say that if he had participated, he would've voted for Trump. Since he actually attended a Hillary Clinton fundraiser with wife Kim Kardashian back in August, his announcement was met with a mixture of boos and applause. Kanye then proceeded to tell the audience that he "loved" Trump's approach, even calling him a "f*cking genius." Oh, to be a fly on the wall.
