Comedian Kenan Thompson has been a household name for most '90s kids [1] ever since he starred in Nickelodeon's "All That" and the beloved film [2] "Good Burger" — and now he's got two kids of his own!
The longest-tenured cast member in "Saturday Night Live [3]" history — he appeared in his first episode in 2003 — Kenan has been serving up laugh after laugh for decades. His NBC sitcom, which was aptly called "Kenan," followed a widowed father who's trying his best to raise his two daughters with a little help from some pretty quirky friends. While Kenan isn't a widower IRL — he married ex Christina Evangeline at an aquarium in Atlanta in 2011 before they split [4] in May — he does, in fact, have two adorable daughters [5], Georgia and Gianna Thompson.
While speaking with People [6] in 2020, Kenan said the transition to fatherhood was swift, to say the least. "I think the biggest wake up call is how immediate it is," he said. "One day you're not a dad and then the next moment you are. You're just a dad from that point on. And definitely, my coolness just got sucked right out of me. I didn't know . . . I didn't even feel it, but I just immediately started wearing black socks and shorts and just being really corny at stores and over-asking questions about items that are super obvious and in my face."

Georgia Marie Thompson
Kenan and Christina welcomed their oldest daughter, Georgia, on June 20, 2014. Always one to post on social media for his kids' birthdays, Kenan's message on Georgia's sixth birthday was nothing short of heartwarming [8]. "It's my first born baby girl Georgia's SIXTH birthday today?!" he wrote. "Whaaaaatttt?!!! 🤯🤯🤯 Happy Happy Happy Birthday my beautiful sweet girl!!!!"
Gianna Michelle Thompson
Gianna, the pair's second daughter, was born on Aug. 2, 2018. Although Kenan was over the moon to welcome another child into the family, he was grateful that Georgia was already out of diapers.
He told People [9] that having another baby really "kicked [things] into overdrive. I'm so thankful they weren't in diapers at the same time." He noted that that would have been one of "the hardest things to do on the planet."
The proud papa honored Gianna on her second birthday with a a sweet message on Instagram [10], writing: "My sweet little baby Gianna is 2 today!!! 😫 It's goin way too fast but I cannot tell you how proud I am of you sweetheart!!! I love you with all my soul till the ends of the earth and beyond!!!"
