Luke Perry's children Sophie and Jack are honoring their father on what would have been his 53rd birthday. On Oct. 11, they took to Instagram to pay homage to the late actor [3] seven months after he died from a massive stroke [4]. Sophie, 19, posted two photos of her and Luke warmly embracing [5] while the late actor rocked a blazer with plaid shorts. "Happy birthday, fashion icon," she wrote. "I can hear you doing your best Tim Gunn [6] impersonation now. Love you the most." Jack, 22, also posted a birthday message, sharing a portrait of Luke made from a collage of photos over the years [7]. "Happy birthday, old man. I'll see you somewhere." Their tributes come a few days after Luke was honored [8] in the tear-jerking season four premiere of Riverdale [9].
Shortly after Luke's death in March, Jack and Sophie both vowed to honor him in their own way. "I'll miss you every day that I walk this earth. I'll do whatever I can to carry on your legacy and make you proud," Jack wrote on Instagram days after Luke's passing. The following month, Sophie — who served as a development instructor helping to build preschools in rural communities — opened a preschool in Malawi, Africa [10], and named it after her father.
