Megan Thee Stallion Steps Back Into the Spotlight With Glamorous Red Carpet Return

Megan Thee Stallion made a glamorous return to the red carpet at the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars party on March 12, marking her first public appearance after months away from the spotlight. The "Her" rapper hit up the star-studded event — which was also attended by celebrities like Austin Butler, Kaia Gerber, Vanessa and Natalia Bryant, and many more — wearing a black strapless Old Hollywood-esque gown, custom made by fellow Houston native and emerging designer Bach Mai.

Megan has kept a fairly low profile since her shooting trial with Tory Lanez ended in December 2022, concluding with the latter being found guilty of three felony counts (assault with a semiautomatic handgun; carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle; and discharging a firearm with gross negligence) and facing more than 20 years in prison. Prior to that, her last big public appearance was on "Saturday Night Live" in October 2022, where she pulled double duty as the host and musical guest.

Though Megan still seems to be on a social media hiatus, the Grammy-winning rap star is finally set to make her return to the stage on March 31 as the headliner of the AT&T Block Party, part of the 2023 NCAA March Madness Music Festival in Houston; it'll be her first live performance of the year.

If Megan's fashionable red carpet return is a hint at what we can expect from her first concert of 2023, then fans are definitely in for a treat. See more photos of her at the Vanity Fair Oscars party ahead.
