Mel B Says a New Spice Girls Tour Is "100 Percent Happening," But With 1 Person Missing
On Thursday, Mel B sat down with late-night host James Corden, alongside Olivia Munn and Dr. Phil, to talk about upcoming projects, including the Spice Girls reunion tour that practically everyone wants to happen. James cut right to the chase, asking Mel when the group is going to make every '90s music fan's dream come true after "stringing us along" for months.
Although concrete details about the tour are still pretty scarce, Mel confirmed that four out of the five spices will definitely be making their rounds on tour together: Mel (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice). When Olivia questioned whether Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, would be joining them, Mel simply answered, "Well, we'll see about that one." She said she hopes that Victoria will be able to do a few shows, but if not, Olivia had the idea of having celebrity guests fill in as Posh Spice, which is pretty genius, no? Apparently Mel has Katy Perry on her radar.
Rumors about a Spice Girls reunion have been circulating for years. For a while, it all just seemed like wishful thinking, but now that it's actually happening, we're pretty pumped about it. Watch Mel talk more about reuniting the Spice Girls — and finding her old performance costumes — in the video above.
