7 People Lady Gaga Has Dated Over the Years

Lady Gaga isn't afraid to pour her heart into her music, but when it comes to her love life, she's been fairly private. Over the years, the singer has dated producers, musicians, and actors. She's had a few long-term relationships over the years, including one with actor Taylor Kinney, whom she dated for five years and was engaged to before their breakup. She was also engaged to Hollywood talent agent Christian Carino, though they broke up in 2019. (Contrary to some rumors fueled by an intense Oscars performance, she's never had a romantic relationship with her "A Star Is Born" costar Bradley Cooper, though the pair do share an adorable friendship.)

Since 2020, she has been linked to businessman Michael Polansky, and the pair have attended a number of events together. "Lady Gaga and Michael are still together and enjoying their relationship," a source told Entertainment Tonight in January 2022. "Gaga and Michael are serious and are very much in love."

Romance hasn't always been smooth sailing for Gaga, though. In a 2010 interview with Cosmopolitan, Gaga opened up about her views on love, saying she's always put her career first. "Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams," she told the outlet. "If you're wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn't love you anymore." In the same interview, she also noted that some of her failed relationships — one in particular — provided key motivation for her at the start of her career. "I had a boyfriend who told me I'd never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I'd fail," she told the outlet. "I said to him, 'Someday, when we're not together, you won't be able to order a cup of coffee at the fucking deli without hearing or seeing me.'"
