Rihanna [1] is now a mom of two! On Aug. 21, Entertainment Tonight [2] confirmed that the "Anti" singer welcomed her second child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky, who joins their 1-year-old son, RZA [3]. TMZ [4] was the first to report the news. "Rihanna [5] and ASAP will spend the early days of parenthood out of the public eye and won't make any immediate plans to debut the new baby," a source told ET.
Rihanna first revealed her second pregnancy [6] — in the most superstar way possible — during her 2023 Super Bowl halftime show performance on Feb. 12. Her rep then confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter [7]. Following the announcement, Rihanna and her baby bump, along with Rocky, were photographed on numerous occasions leading up to the child's birth — from fashionable lunch [8] and dinner dates [9] to the Oscars [10], CinemaCon [11], and the Met Gala [12].
While at the Met Gala on May 1, Rihanna gave a small window into what her second pregnancy was like, telling ET [13], "It's so different from the first one. No cravings. Tons of nausea. Everything's different, but I'm enjoying it. I feel good. I feel energetic."
She also reflected on her motherhood journey [14] for her 2023 British Vogue cover story, which was published on Feb. 15, and said she and Rocky became "best friends with a baby" after welcoming her first child. "We have to be on the same page, but we've always kind of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn't say it's done anything but made us closer."
