Simone Biles [1] and Jonathan Owens [2] are head over heels in love, and they're now engaged! The two announced the news [3] on Feb. 15, posting their engagement photos on Instagram. "THE EASIEST YES," Biles wrote in her caption [4]. "I can't wait to spend forever & ever with you, you're everything I dreamed of and more! let's get married FIANCÉ." Owens's caption was just as sweet: writing [5], "Woke up this morning with a fiancée."
The 24-year-old gymnast and 26-year-old Houston Texans player first sparked dating rumors after Biles wished him a happy birthday [6] on her Instagram Stories in July 2020. The two were later revealed to have crossed paths after the Texans began their training camp that July [7] (Simone had been in Houston training [8] at the World Champions Centre). The legendary gymnast admitted that she'd slid into the football player's DMs [9].
The couple became IG official in August 2020 [10], and since then, Simone has posted plenty of cute couple pics.
