Taylor Swift [1] sat down on The Tonight Show on Thursday likely expecting to engage in some witty banter about her recent album, Lover [2], her upcoming SNL performance, or even her role in the CGI nightmare big screen Cats adaptation [3]. Instead, Jimmy decided to debut a video exclusive for his audience that left the "You Need to Calm Down" [4] singer anything but calm. (We, however, can't stop laughing. Sorry, Tay.)
As we see in the video, which was recorded by Taylor's mom Andrea [6] earlier this year following the 29-year-old's Lasik eye surgery, Taylor is still very much under the influence of whatever loopy anesthesia drugs she got from her doctor. Rocking a bulky pair of goggles (that look taped to her face, lol), Taylor begins to cry while trying to choose the right banana to eat for a snack, and then sasses her mom while trying to stay awake long enough to eat it ("I'm not asleep, my mind is alive!"). It's . . . well, it's definitely something!
