We've had a good run, guys. After eight wonderful seasons, Castle has been canceled [1]. The news comes a month after it was announced that star Stana Katic would be leaving the series [2] after the current season. After the news broke of her departure, Nathan Fillion wished her the best in a sweet message [3] on Twitter. ABC also axed Nashville and Agent Carter [4] to make way for new shows this Fall. Following the cancellation, Katic also posted a handwritten note thanking fans for their support. Thankfully, viewers of the hit crime show need not worry about the fate of Castle and Beckett [5], as they reportedly filmed two different versions of the finale [6] just in case. Fillion was already on track to return for the new season, but it seems he'll just have more time to film Guardians of the Galaxy 2 [7]! For now, check out what other shows have been canceled [8].
