Actors Won't Attend the Golden Globes
The Screen Actors Guild released a statement today saying actors won't be crossing the picket lines for the Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 13. It's unclear how that will affect the television broadcast, though NBC says plans for a telecast are moving forward.

why can't they just make the deal with the strikers and get it over with?? seriously, it's getting annoying.

How can they possible go forward when no one will be there? That should make for an interesting broadcast.

However, stay tuned for the SAG Awards and the Independent Spirit Awards. Those have had the blessings of the WGA and gotten waivers to go on with writers. :D

Good for the actors :) And rivrchild, it's up to the AMPTP (who most likely won't be willing to negotiate until the actors contract is up in July) whether or not the Oscars will go forward.

No one will watch if the actors aren't there. Oh well. I hope they come to something satisfying for both sides before the Oscars, cuz I'll be pissed if the Oscar show is ruined!
