If you're not yet familiar with up-and-coming singer Alessia Cara, let her insane cover of "Bad Blood" be your introduction. The 18-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter stopped by BBC's Radio 1 in London this week for a studio session and completely killed the Taylor Swift hit, even rapping the verses by Kendrick Lamar. It wasn't long before the clip made its way to Taylor herself, who tweeted her praise to the singer, saying, "You're AMAZING, @alessiacara. Love this."
Alessia's debut single, "Here," dropped back in May, and she's quickly garnering comparisons to Taylor's BFF Lorde; though her voice is a bit more gravely and soulful than the New Zealand crooner, there's definitely room for both young talents in your heart. Watch the video above now, and check out another recent "Bad Blood" cover that's too good to be true.
