Hairspray: Live! is finally here, and it seems like the whole cast couldn't be more excited to put on a stellar show. We recently visited the set to talk to some of the production's biggest stars [1], and each of them positively gushed about the entire experience. One particular pair, though, couldn't seem to stop. Ariana Grande [2] and Kristin Chenoweth [3] paired up for a roundtable interview during our visit, and they basically spent the whole time professing their undying love for each other . . . in the sweetest way. To help amp you up for tonight's big premiere on NBC at 8 p.m., experience some of the behind-the-scenes magic between the cast.

1. That Time They Just Couldn't Stop Crying

Interviewer: You guys, this is so exciting.

Ariana Grande: Oh my gosh, you don't even know. We've been crying.

Kristin Chenoweth: All day.

AG: We cried in every interview. Like weird. Like combustion.

2. When It Was All Love All the Time

Why is this project bringing out that kind of emotional response in you guys?

AG: We love each other. Always have.

KC: That's right.

AG: The most love and obsessed.

KC: I'm also proud of her.

AG: [Dabbing tears] It's happening again. What is happening?

KC: You started it.

AG: I'm sorry. I keep starting it off on the emotional page.

KC: I also love her family.

AG: There's a lot of love and I think we all just love the show.

3. When Ariana Grande Worshiped at the Altar of Kristin Chenoweth

Was there something that either of you saw when you were younger — a movie or something — that made you want to pursue this kind of career?

AG: I saw her!

KC: I was a musical theater geek.

AG: I am. Still. Now.

KC: But we're together.

4. When Ariana Grande Straight Up Told It Like It Is

Kristin, you're playing a villain again.

KC: Why do I keep playing these villains, people?

AG: 'Cause you're funny as hell.

5. When They Were Nothing but Love and Praise

Kristin, being such a Broadway vet, do you feel like you need to give advice to everybody, are people asking for your advice?

AG: Yes.

KC: [Laughs] I feel like I might be one of those people —

AG: You are.

KC: [Referencing Ariana] I just give her love because she deserves love. You know, they know what they're doing. And if they ask me, I'll tell 'em. Of course I will. But everybody, we're all kind of in it together and at least, most everybody is a theater person anyway.

AG: Ugh. Yes. Thank God, it's such a great environment.
