Army Wives Season 2 Premiere on Lifetime

TV Tonight: Army Wives Season 2 Premiere

I know I've made my love for Army Wives known, so I won't continue to expound on the numerous ways this Lifetime show surprises me. Sure, it dips into the ordinary melodramatic territory that seems to be Lifetime's specialty, but it also touches on some important issues and often makes for riveting TV. The cliffhanger from the first season, when a bomber finds his way to the women's favorite watering hole — especially set to an eerie, slowed-down version of "Goodbye, Stranger" — left me literally holding my breath.

In tonight's season premiere, the women (and Roland) deal with the aftermath of this bombing as we discover what, exactly, went on that day in the bar. You can watch the first four minutes or so of the episode (which is already getting me right in the feelings) here.

Also, random fact: Senators Barack Obama and John McCain have publicly voiced their appreciation for this show. You can see their videos via that same link above, or just click here.

I stumbled upon the marathon over the weekend and was immediately hooked. So glad I found it! Gotta say, as a Navy brat, there are some details that are completely unrealistic, but there's a lot that's really relatable that I don't usually see on tv.

I like the show but was kind of let down by the episode, didn't really like the monologue from the radio station going through the whole thing...

The premiere was really good but so sad. For most of the episode I kept thinking whats so dramatic about looks like everyone is fine, shaken but still alive. The only person who was badly hurt was Betty, but like Buzz said, her death would be sad, but surely not as devastating as one of the wives. And then at the end when we found out who really did die that was so near and dear to Pamela and that everything revolving around that person for the whole episode(I won't say who so I won't spoil it for people who haven't seen it yet) was just a dream sequence, it was so sad! I can't wait to see how the rest of the season plays out...

smileyface — OMG, I didn't even think of Denise! I've been trying to figure out which one it might be, and I was thinking maybe that bartender lady? Though that wouldn't be nearly so heartbreaking or dramatic as one of the wives... Can't wait to watch tonight and find out. I'm probably going to have to break out the tissues for this one.

Buzz I too LOVE this show and I can't wait until 10:00 tonight! I hope that none of the wives or Roland die, but if one of them does I think it might be Denise because I haven't seen any new images of her in any of the promos for the new season. That would be so sad and I hope I'm wrong! Can't wait to see what happens...
