A few days after shutting the house down at the CMA Awards [1] during a duet of "Daddy Lessons" with the Dixie Chicks [2], Beyoncé has released the music video for her country-inspired hit through Tidal. Just like with her separate releases of "Formation" [3] and "Sorry," [4] the stand-alone video for "Daddy Lessons" is pulled straight from her visual album, Lemonade [5]. It runs just over seven minutes and features everything from Queen Bey expertly riding a horse to some home videos of her and her father, Matthew Knowles. The video comes in the wake of a wave of racist backlash surrounding her CMAs performance, which everyone from Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines [6] to the Country Music Association [7] has addressed. Although you'll have to sign in to Tidal to see the whole thing, check out the 30-second black and white preview above for a taste of what's to come.
