Yep, that's right, the second season of Big Little Lies is almost here, and we finally have photographic evidence that season two is going to be epic! Ahead of the season two premiere, HBO released a handful of new images, and it looks like tensions are going to be higher than ever before. With the guilt of what really happened to Perry Wright practically eating them alive, the Monterey Five might not stand a chance against Streep's character as she looks into the "unfortunate" death of her son. We should likely prepare for more sneak peeks before the second season debuts on June 9!

Back in April 2018, Nicole Kidman gave the world a sneak peek at Meryl Streep in character as the HBO drama's newest (and most high-profile) addition: Mary Louise Wright, the mother of the late Perry Wright. So how could we not be excited? After looking at the photo Kidman shared on Instagram, all we can say is: wow, what a transformation. The wig? The glasses? The whole damn thing is so good! "First day on the set with Meryl and 'my' darling boys! #BigLittleLies," Kidman captioned her Instagram photo.

When the news first broke that Streep was joining the cast back in January, Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern couldn't hide their excitement, and we don't blame them. This is Streep's first major TV role since she starred in HBO's miniseries Angels in America in 2003.
