Monsters vs. Aliens Wins Big at the Box Office

DreamWorks Animation's Monsters vs. Aliens scored the best opening of the year over the weekend earning an estimated $58.2 million. The movie's success signals to studios that audiences don't seem to mind paying an extra few dollars for movies in 3-D.

Meanwhile, the super scary-looking horror flick The Haunting in Connecticut was No. 2, grossing an estimated $23 million, followed by Knowing. Most of you said you'd be off to see I Love You, Man this weekend and the comedy hung out in the top five at No. 4, followed by Duplicity.

I watched Monsters vs. Aliens this weekend and it was pretty funny. However, I think the 3D made me and my cousins feel a bit sick and nauseous.

My kids went on Saturday with the neighbor to watch it in 3d, they loved it unfortunately i spent my money on I Love You Man, the movie sucked $18.00 and almost 2 hours I will never get back. My fiance normally likes those stupid movies and he thought it was as stupid as I did.

Monsters Vs Aliens was awesome in 3D! It's not like a total kid movie, like 80% of the audience were adults and we were all laughing most of the time! It's a good movie!

My daughter wanted to go see this but as much as I love Reese I couldn't bring myself to go and sit through it. I can't wait until she is old enough to go see her own movies. That's why the kids movies do so well because the parents have to buy a ticket nad see it too!
