Buzz Trivia: Non-Holiday Holiday Movies!

Everyone knows and loves the classic holiday films that are so well-loved and frequently watched this time of year (A Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, etc.). However, there's a whole other crop of films that feature the holiday season without technically being "holiday movies." Some of these include Love Actually, Beautiful Girls and Serendipity.

To test your knowledge of these "non-holiday holiday movies," take my quiz!

I have never seen Beautiful Girls, so thats the only one I have gotten wrong. Come to think of it, I haven't seen Die Hard either but I know it takes place around Christmas. I love the other movies though! I just watched Love Actually a couple days ago.

I absolutely adore Love Actually and it is without a doubt my favorite contemporary non-holiday holiday movie. But long before it existed my tradition was to watch the 1955 film We're No Angels with Humphrey Bogart, Peter Ustinov and Basil Rathbone. A wonderfully funny classic movie that takes place over Christmas, but without shoving "holiday spirit" down your throat.

I love Beautiful Girls, it's one of my favorite movies. I love it when Paul says "So you're the little neighborhood Lolita" and she says "So you're the alcoholic high school buddy sh*t for brains"

funny note next time you watch Love actually When David (hugh grant) arrives at No. 10 Downing Street, his tie changes 11 times between shots when meeting Natalie. Apparently, Hugh Grant had changed his tie after a post-lunch nap and no one noticed at first. They decided to "play with it" and went all out and changed the tie 11 times just for the heck of it.

Love Actually=best movie ever... Brittanybe, I love that "chubby" part with Hugh Grant. He cracks me up in that movie. Gosh, I love it.

CaterpillarGirl: "To me, you are perfect" kills me every time! I watch this movie with the husby every Christmas. I've always thought of it as a Christmas movie-- AND one of my favorite movies of all time. "Wwwwwwwould we call her chubby?" Oh lord. Colin Firth. Hugh Grant. Emma Thompson. Alan Rickman. Liam Neesan. Kiera Knightley. The adorable actress who plays Natalie. Does it get any better than that?

I love Meet Me in St. Louis and Shop Around the Corner but I am not sure if they count as holiday movies. They take place during Christmas but that isn't the point of the film. What does everyone else think, holiday or non-holiday?
