American Idol [1] went out with a bang (and truckloads of confetti) on Thursday night, naming a winner [2] and bringing back tons of past favorites [3]. Among them was the show's crown jewel: Carrie Underwood [4]. The former Idol, hot off her fabulous performance at the ACMs on Sunday [5], returned to her old stomping grounds for a duet with Keith Urban [6] and this rendition of "Something in the Water."
