You may have thought you'd seen the last of Jax Teller when he — spoiler alert — perishes in Sons of Anarchy [1]'s finale, but we're still holding out hope for a comeback. Now that FX has ordered a pilot for Kurt Sutter's spinoff series, Mayans MC [2], we have our fingers crossed that Charlie Hunnam [3] may return to the small screen in some way. There are always flashbacks, people!

TMZ caught up with the actor on Wednesday [4] and managed to get a kernel of a comment out of him. When asked if he would appear on the spinoff, Hunnam said, "If they call me . . . if they want me to do a little dream sequence, I'll do a little dream sequence, I love Kurt, I'd do anything with Kurt, I love that guy. But I think I'm dead."

Queue the heavy breathing.
