Leaked Clip From Where the Wild Things Are, Possibly Fake

On Friday there leaked a brief clip from the Spike Jonze live-action film adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are, and folks have been buzzing about how adorable — yet strange — the movie looks. There's a lovely innocence to it, as well as a distinctly melancholic tone, all in keeping with the book on which the movie is based. I love that the puppet is a real thing, and not some CGI creature.

Now there's been some speculation that this clip is a fake, though if it is, that's some darn good user-generated content. To check out the very cute, odd clip and tell me what you think,

The answer from someone who has seen a version of the movie: And I have to take offense to the first talkbacker that decries the existence of this movie. It's a Spike Jonze/Dave Eggers collaboration with 100% approval by Maurice Sendak, so it's not any run-of-the-mill adaptation. It's not at all a studio thing. It's being put together by three geniuses.

that was oddly cute. i wonder what character paul dano is playing in this film? i think the film has a great line-up of actors in it so i'm excited to see this.

Not sure about its authenticity. It just feels and sounds a bit fake. All in all, I'm not a huge fan of the real project.

Hmmmm. I don't know what to think. Something about it does come off a little fake to me. But I could see it being real too. Interesting.

Wow. That was really stupid. You know, not every book/story/fairy tale can be a movie. I wish the studios would realize this before they completely ruin every single classic.
