The duo was presented with the trophy by Prince and seemed stunned by their win as they hit the stage to address the crowd with a moving, poignant acceptance speech that brought tears to the eyes of A-listers in the audience. Common gave his thanks to the studio and filmmakers — which included Oprah Winfrey — and put tons of passion on display while saying, "Selma has awakened my humanity. We look to the future, and we want to create a better world. Now is our time to change the world. Selma is now."
