As the first female host of the ESPY Awards [5], Danica Patrick did not disappoint. She roasted athletes for their mistakes [6], referenced the Kardashians [7], and even gave viewers an inside look at her relationship [8] with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (well, sort of). In a hilarious skit and mock-movie titled Me, Danica, the 36-year-old race car driver and her boyfriend take on the plot of I, Tonya, with a blond wig and a serious mustache (respectively, of course).
"I'm the best driver my sport's ever seen," Danica says in the trailer. "I drove a double axle better than anyone else. But the friggin' judges were always against me." The best appearance has to be from Danica's whiskey-bottle-toting mom, with a bird on her shoulder and an oxygen tank to her side.
Danica and Aaron exchange some sweet compliments and have a makeout session before the plot takes a dark turn [10] to discuss "the friggin' incident." Honestly, all satire aside, this movie looks excellent and we'd totally watch it.
