We've been hanging on every bit of info leaked from the very hush-hush set of The Dark Knight Rises, and the first preview for the film is no exception. There's a reason why we call this a teaser: a lot of the footage comes from the first two films in the franchise, and the quick clip doesn't give away many details about the final film in Christopher Nolan's Batman series. What we do see is Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, who seems to be fighting for his life in the hospital. Addressing a shadowy figure, he speaks of the evil that has returned to Gotham and pushes the need for Batman to return. Then we get a very brief glimpse of Tom Hardy as Bane as he faces off against Bale in the bat suit. (To top it all off, there's more of that uber creepy chanting we've heard on the website.)
Needless to say, this has definitely whet my appetite for what's poised to be one of the biggest blockbusters of Summer 2012. In the meantime, I'll be holding out for a full-length trailer, but watch and dissect the teaser when you read more.
