Do You Feel More Sympathetic Toward Eddie on Desperate Housewives?

The following post is from community member RK2590, who posted it in the Desperate For Desperate Housewives group.

This week's episode kinda freaked me out, because I actually started to feel bad for Eddie once we got some of his backstory. The part where he has no friends and is cleaning Gabby's house (mean but hilarious) pulled on my heartstrings — and his mother is the worst ever! It was a roller coaster of emotion to say the least, since you could tell he was a sweet kid but has some serious psychological problems. Do you feel more sympathetic or do you still see him as a monster?

I totally don't think they were trying to blame the housewives, but rather show how they all came into to contact with him over the years and tried to help in some cases but probably made it worse. The last line says something like "how does someone become a monster like this" then shows his dead mother's face and says, "from a bigger monster". So I think the point was it was definitely his mother's fault that he turned psycho.

I almost felt that with the flashbacks they were trying to blame all the housewives for what has happened. Maybe partially his moms fault, but there are plenty of people who are in similar situations and they don't resort to killing everyone who doesn't let them have their way. So I voted that no, he is still a monster.
