Do You Prefer to See Nicole Kidman in Comedies or Dramas?

The recent news about Nicole Kidman's romantic comedy Monte Carlo got me thinking about her range in past movies. I'm curious to see her try another romantic comedy, though I've often loved her most in dramatic movies. Do you think she should stick to comedy or drama?

I really don't know if anyone of you guys are huge cinema fans as I am, but if you have seen her dark comedy TO DIE FOR, a movie she did back in 1995, she is simply hilarious. She won a globe for it and many would agree that she was snubbed for an Oscar. Really; I suggest that you do watch that movie! It's hilarious and dark. Kidman really makes you laugh. But she's good at both. Lately, it's been dramas, but upon seeing TO DIE FOR, I say both :).

she is so great in dramas! my favorite movie (the hours) was extra great because she was in it! the trailer for "the golden compass" looks so good! i know she'll be fantastic in that one. i don't know exactly how big her role is in it though.

She is super cute in comedies like the Stepford Wives! I enjoy her smart comedic wit.

I'm trying to remember the Nicole Kidman films I've seen. Hmm, I liked her Stepford Wives (:oops:) and Birthday Girl (sort of dramedy-ish), oh and that Robbie Williams video (it was sort of funny). But I think her acting style, and voice, is best suited to dramatic roles.

i think it's because we're so use to seeing her do dramatic roles that we can't really warm up to her comedic role, but i think given the right script with the right cast she can pull it off. Betwitched was cute but with a bad script so it didn't work. with that said i love nicole kidman. i'm really excited to see The Invasion. When will that movie come out Buzz?

Loved her in Moulin Rouge and Practical Magic. I can't wait for her new Baz flick to come out. Those two together are cinema gold.

I'm not a big kidman fan. Her old movies more so then lately. Far and Away. But even then, I didn't think she was that awesome

I think she's capable of doing both coz she's such a great actress. I think Bewitched was just a fluke.

I think she is an incredible actress and can pull off both. Sure, some movies are flops but I can see her acting in a comedy like the one in the works.

Dramas for sure. Some people just aren't comedic actors and that's okay. She's still fabulous.
