Do You Want to See The Kingdom?

This Friday finds Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman and Chris Cooper starring in The Kingdom, a war movie set in modern-day Saudi Arabia. After a terrorist bombing of a Western housing compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an elite team of FBI agents is formed to locate the mastermind behind the bombing. I'm going to see The Kingdom this week, though I wonder if a movie about terrorism in the Middle East will be able to draw in the crowds. Then again, lots of people love the action movies. Check out the trailer and tell me: Are you interested in seeing The Kingdom?

I'm all about Jason Bateman but don't think it'll be worth it. Maybe on DVD a few months down the road.

Anytime Jen Garner is in a flick I'm there. Plus I always buy the DVD for the extra stuff.

crazykitty180, interesting that you say the movie doesn't take sides because it looks and sounds like that's exactly what it's doing. Whatever the case, I'm not interested in seeing it right now.

Oops, I guess I should have read down to juju's post about Juno. My bad!

I've heard great things so I plan to see it at some point. For those of you looking to see Garner in a different role, check out Juno when it comes out. Smaller role, but no action hero Jenn ;)

Why watch drama when there's enough of it in the news. When I watch a movie I want to be entertained and escape from the horrors of this world!!

I'm so torn! I love Jason Bateman and Chris Cooper, but I cannot stand Jennifer Garner or Jamie Foxx.

For those who want to see Jen do something a little different, Juno looks fabulous. It's on my "must see" list for the fall.

I can't stand any of the actors in this movie and I'm not at all interested in the theme. I watch movies to escape reality. No thanks

I saw this at a sneak preview and it was much much better than I expected. It's one of the best thrillers I've seen in a long time. It's an excellently well done blend of social/political commentary and action/thriller. Unlike other similar movies in recent years, this one doesn't take sides and tries to have a more balanced approach. Also, the action sequences are brilliant and incredibly realistic and the last 30 min had me clutching my armrests. I would highly recommend this.

I would see it only for Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman....but honestly the fact that Jamie Foxx is in it really kills it for me. That guy disgust me with his big headed attitude. I may wait for the video to come out to see it....

I already saw this at an advance pre-screening. It was a fantastic movie! I am not really a fan of political movies, war movies, or action flicks, but this movie was very good.

Knowing quite a few FBI agents, I've learned to cast a hairy eye towards FBI-centered movies.

I have no desire whatsoever to see the fruits of our jacked up administration come to 'life' in what is supposed to be entertainment. No thanks.

No. Gosh loving Americans going after evil terrorists in the Middle East is not my cup of tea. I like Jennifer Garner, but I agree, I'm sick of seeing her in the same role. 13 Going on 30 was fantastic, she should do another cute comedy.
