Way before Spider-Man got rebooted with Andrew Garfield in the lead, there was a bit of a movement to get Community star Donald Glover to play Peter Parker. While that obviously didn't pan out, Glover will finally get to play Spider-Man [1] in an episode of Disney XD's Ultimate Spider-Man: Web-Warriors animated series. He'll play Miles Morales, a half-Hispanic, half-black Spider-Man whom Parker meets in a parallel world. It's not quite the same as being on the big screen, but it's fun to watch this preview that features Glover as a web-slinger. The episodes with his character will premiere next year.
