Details regarding the upcoming Fast and Furious 9 film have been pretty scarce. So far the only thing we know is that its release date [1] was pushed back a year from April 19, 2019 to April 10, 2020 to make room for Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham's spinoff [2], Hobbs and Shaw, which is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2019. Still, the question on everyone's mind seems to be: will Johnson be in Fast and Furious 9?
Well, it turns out, Johnson doesn't know either. The actor dropped by Watch What Happens Live [4] on Thursday night to promote Skyscraper [5], and was asked if he was going to make an appearance in the upcoming film. "Will I be in Fast 9? I'm not quite too sure," Johnson said. "I think they're still working on that script now. So I don't know, kind of up in the air." Given his beef with costars Vin Diesel and Tyrese [6], it doesn't seem likely, but then again, you never know.
