Sep 23 2017 - 11:00am

Fall is here, and even if you live in a place where the leaves aren't changing, there are a few movies you can put on that will make you feel like it's all around. There are romantic comedies amid the colorful foliage and dramas that use the weather transition as part of their story, and they can all immerse you in the season. To make you feel like it's truly Fall, check out these movies.

You've Got Mail

This Tom Hanks [2] and Meg Ryan [3] romantic comedy has its leads bicker/become friends/fall in love in the New York outdoors, utilizing the season of Fall to play up the romance of the city and the situation.

How perfect does The Shop Around the Corner look framed by orange leaves?

Not to mention Joe Fox's apartment!

Silver Linings Playbook

The Bradley Cooper [4] drama uses one of the season's most exciting themes to drive in the Fall feeling: football!

The tailgating scene makes you feel like you're at a game too.

Pennsylvania in the Fall and Jennifer Lawrence [5] jogging on Halloween [6]. What could be more Fall?

Rushmore

Academia is a big part of the Fall atmosphere of Wes Anderson's drama, which was shot in Houston.

Plus, there's all the trees that are losing their leaves (and making great places to hide).

I'm sure Max Fischer loves Fall as much as he loves Rushmore.

Hocus Pocus

Of course a Halloween-set movie is all Fall-like.

Look how much the Sanderson sisters love the season!

It doesn't seem like it, but Binx is down with Fall too.

Far From Heaven

Behold Far From Heaven, a film so awash in Fall colors it's breathtaking.

It almost distracts you from Julianne Moore's beauty.

Almost.

Good Will Hunting

Then there's the Boston-set Good Will Hunting, particularly one of its most memorable scenes.

You can almost feel the chill in the air during Robin Williams [7]'s moving monologue.

And just for fun, because this scene is in a Harvard bar, and you know Harvard is beautiful in the Fall.

Dead Poets Society

This, another Robin Williams [8] classic, is set at a boarding school during the Fall.

It's set in the Northeast, where Fall (and others) really put on a show.

Brick buildings in the Fall. Can't you just feel it?

When Harry Met Sally

This is a classic New York film that goes through the seasons, one of the most romantic-looking being the Fall.

Who wouldn't fall in love while walking and talking through gorgeous parks?
