After the bittersweet season 14 finale [1] of Grey's Anatomy [2], we're doing everything in our power not to count the days until season 15. And yet, here we are, counting the days until season 15. As the long wait dwindles down, we've been fortunate enough to hone in on a few exciting details about the next chapter at Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital. Let's review what we've uncovered about the cast, the theme, the new additions, and more! We can already hear those glorious sirens in the distance.
The Returning Cast
With the exception of the dearly missed April and Arizona, it seems all the old faves [4] are set to return! So look forward to plenty of new drama featuring Meredith, Alex, Bailey, Jo, and so on and so forth!
The New Additions
While we're still holding out hope that the handsome Dr. March [5] makes a surprise return, we do have one confirmed new addition. Well, she's not really that new, but she's definitely been gone a while. It's Teddy, who has been added back as a series regular [6]!
The Theme
It seems showrunner Krista Vernoff is very keen on lightening things up in season 15. She's shooting for a "Season of Love" [7] in the new bank of episodes, which could mean all kinds of fun and romance ahead!
The Timing
According to Camilla Luddington, there's not going to be a time jump [8] as we previously expected [9]. In fact, pretty much no time at all will have passed between the season 14 finale and the season 15 premiere.
The Premiere
Not only do we have a premiere date [10] (Sept. 27!), but we also have some exciting news about the debut episode: it's two hours long. Can't wait.
