The series stars Rob Lowe [2] as a former TV lawyer who wants to try his hand at being a real lawyer at his family's practice. "The Grinder is the perfect combination of razor-sharp wit and relatable family dynamics — two hallmarks of successful comedies," said David Madden, the entertainment president for Fox Broadcasting Company. "We are so excited about the storylines that these fantastic producers have planned for the rest of the season." This is also good news for John Stamos's Grandfathered, which airs right before The Grinder and actually has slightly better ratings.
