If Halloween [1] makes you more excited to stay in and watch TV instead of dressing up in an elaborate costumes [2], good news for you: there is tons of Halloween programming this year. Not only does ABC Family have its 13 Nights of Halloween lineup [3], but your favorite TV shows are getting in on the spooky holiday with themed episodes. Here are the shows we know are having special Halloween episodes so far.
Scream Queens
New horror-comedy Scream Queens isn't content to do just one Halloween [4] episode — it's doing three [5]! Starting Oct. 6, the whodunnit [6] will air three consecutive Halloween-themed shows. Among the hijinks: Chanel (Emma Roberts) holds a pumpkin patch party to support her sorority presidential campaign.
When it's on: Oct. 6, 13, and 20 at 9 p.m. on Fox
The Simpsons
In addition to airing a vintage Treehouse of Horror episode before its new programming this year, The Simpsons is doling out a new spooky installment with "Halloween [7] of Horror." This kids head to Krustyland Halloween Horror Night, while guests Nick Kroll and Blake Anderson lend their voices.
When it's on: Oct. 18 at 9 p.m. on Fox
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
It's Holt vs. Peralta in "Halloween [8] III," which sees the two detectives face off in a challenge to be the best detective on the holiday.
When it's on: Oct. 25 at 8:30 p.m. on Fox
Bob's Burgers
In the "Hauntening," the Belchers head to a haunted house to try to give Louise her first scare.
When it's on: Oct. 18 at 9 p.m. on Fox
Family Guy
In an absurd premise, the guys accidentally kill a man at an abandoned asylum and try to pin it on each other. It's not American Horror Story [9], it's Family Guy's "Peternormal Activity" episode.
When it's on: Oct. 25 at 9 p.m. on Fox
Bones
In a crossover event with Sleepy Hollow, the Bones gang gets a visit from Abbie and Ichabod, who are seeking a headless body that Brennan's team is investigating.
When it's on: Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. on Fox
Sleepy Hollow
In a continuation of the Bones crossover, Brennan and Booth help out Abbie and Ichabod when Pandora (guest star Shannyn Sossamon) wreaks havoc.
When it's on: Oct. 29 at 9 p.m. on Fox
American Horror Story: Hotel
The anthology's new season will celebrate Halloween [10] as it usually does: with plenty of gore and scares. The Halloween installment [11] is called "Devil's Night" and will feature the most notorious serial killers [12] of all time, including Jeffrey Dahmer.
