Poltergeist

Insidious: Chapter 3
- Who's starring: Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, and Lin Shaye.
- Why you should be interested: This is the prequel for the other previous horror hits, so you'll want to see how it all begins, and maybe we'll even get some answers.

Self/less
- Who's starring: Ryan Reynolds [9] and Ben Kingsley.
- Why you should be interested: This premise couldn't be more intriguing — Reynolds plays the man whose body Kingsley's character jumps into. Got that?

The Gift
- Who's starring: Joel Edgerton, Jason Bateman [11], and Rebecca Hall [12].
- Why you should be interested: Not only does Edgerton play an unhinged classmate from Bateman's character's past in this thriller, but this is also the directorial debut of Australian star Edgerton.
- When it opens: Aug. 7

Sinister 2
- Who's starring: Shannyn Sossamon.
- Why you should be interested: The thread of mysterious films and related deaths from the 2012 film is continued; you have to see it if you enjoyed the first one.

Regression
- Who's starring: Emma Watson [15] and Ethan Hawke [16].
- Why you should be interested: There's so much mystery surrounding the plot of this thriller that we couldn't be more curious, plus we love to see Watson star in literally anything.

- Who's starring: Dakota Fanning [18] and Elizabeth Banks.
- Why you should be interested: The mystery of what happened to a child in the care of two girls is explored in this bestselling book by Laura Lippman.
