Gotham [1] is hurtling toward its first season finale, and it's sounding like one character won't be coming back. In an appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael, Jada Pinkett-Smith said that she will most likely not be in season two. When Kelly Ripa [2] asked her if she would be in season two, she told the hosts (which you can watch in the clip below at about 5:45) that she only had a contract for the first season, saying, "I don't think so, no. I signed for a year and, you know, the year is up. But there are some great things coming ahead on Gotham, believe you me. There's a lot of good stuff coming." Gotham's renewal was announced last month [3], and though we're curious to see how Pinkett-Smith's character will go, we can't help but hope she's right about good stuff coming in season two [4].
