Kyra Sedgwick Wins Emmy For Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for The Closer 2010-08-29 18:39:17

Do You Agree With the Emmy Winner For Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama?

Kyra Sedgwick is the Emmy winner for outstanding lead actress in a drama series! It's her first Emmy for The Closer, and she beat out Glenn Close, Mariska Hargitay, Julianna Margulies, January Jones, and Connie Britton. Do you agree with this win?

Don't forget to vote on all of my Emmy polls!

It should have been January or Julianna

Her character and this show annoy me so much. Ugh. This is one of the only ones I really disagree with. I would have been happy with any of the other four, although I think January Jones deserved it the most. Yeah, her character is annoying, too, but she's supposed to be childish and immature. And Betty Draper is so cold, but Jones still manages to effectively portray a range of emotions. Depending on how the rest of the season goes, I think Jones should enter herself in the supporting category next year. I think it's hard for her to win when so many of the other nominees are really the centerpieces of their respective shows.

I don't watch the show so can't comment on her performance, but was really holding out for a Connie Britton upset! :(

Mainly just disappointed she didn't make a Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon joke. Or eat a twinkie.
