It's happening A Star Is Born [1] fans, it's finally happening!
The musical remake starring Lady Gaga [2] and Bradley Cooper [3] has won its first major award, and appropriately, it's for the iconic original song [4] "Shallow." Gaga and Cooper's soulful duet — co-written by Gaga, Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt, and Anthony Rossomando — won the Golden Globe for best original song, beating out Kendrick Lamar and SZA's Black Panther [5] track "All the Stars," A Private War's "Requiem For a Private War," Boy Erased's "Revelation," and "Girl in the Movies," from Dumplin'. The song struck a chord [6] in A Star Is Born fans from the moment they previewed it in the trailer, and now it's an award-winner!
Gaga, who was joined onstage by her co-writers, was moved to tears by the win and revealed how their support helped her during the entire production. "As a woman in music, it is really hard to be taken seriously as a musician and a songwriter," she admitted. "These three incredible men . . . they lifted me up, they supported me." And, of course, she couldn't leave the stage without showing her costar [7] some appreciation as well, adding, "Bradley, I love you." Watch the sweet moment above!
