While he posted two Instagram videos congratulating Empire's Taraji P. Henson and the show's costume designer on their Emmy nominations [1], creator Lee Daniels is decidedly pissed that his show was overlooked in other categories. Daniels posted a video of Jussie Smollett trying to convince him to be politically correct, but Daniels ignores him and instead declares, "F*ck these motherf*ckers." We might not assume this is directly related to the fact that Empire wasn't nominated for outstanding drama series, except for the "#emmyniceguyoverwith" caption. Yep, this just got awkward.
